Jaime,

This is a photograph of a slough of a river.  The ice is going out in big chunks and there is a log caught in the small ice jam.

I wrote the following on the photograph:

When the ice goes out
and, again, mosquitoes fly,
spring has truly sprung.

----

Friends,
Ali

Looks cold but inviting. (picture and words) I love your way of bringing the beauty nature to us city people.

Ice-out on the big lake here was April 23rd. I am so happy that Spring has arrived and the trees are budding out and our grass is growing and green. But is sure is cold and raw. Lots of rain and low temps. But it will be warm soon enough.

A beautiful picture and delightful words.  hugs, Marti

Oh, the majestic power of Nature in motion!

Alison, you are quite the photographer ~ and poet!

With love,

Alison,

This reminds me of ice/log jams on the San Laurent up in Quebec--been there for that--talk about bump and grind.

Ice?  If I'm lucky I'll find some in the freezer when I need it...otherwise, only in the beauty you share, my friend....
