Fire from the depths of no-man’s land bursts from a gap in the clouds in spew of a warning and caution to not expand and venture into the unknown realms of a mind. ‘tis the brave or the stupid, the woman in me, or simply my curiosity that approaches the heat as if there to feel the burn of an unspoken word. The words are not loving for they don’t exist but the feel seeps under the skin and pulls from the inner out what love is all about. But to know the more and the all shrivels up physical need and leaves merely ash in the place of desire once thought a necessity to procure what a woman wants. I look back again, again, again, and see it still there as before and think the fire just a spark of ineffective means to kill off the need to be held and soothed to a better place. But I do know the more and the all and one day it might reignite the forever fires of a mind returned now unto this land where all remains as before! Helen / 3 May 2008 |

Sharyn - Thank you for your lovely comment. I guess inspiring poetry is one of those things that rises and dips according to what seems meaningful and helpful at the time. I am hoping to get "up there" on a permanent basis but I do know that one can sometimes hope for the unattainable.  Helen |
