As the words I write go in formation like pieces to a puzzle
I amaze myself, because it is not me who is writing
something controls me, it's like my body has a muzzle
and my poetic soul takes over my being.

The things I write come quick and swiftly
my words don't come by just thinking
they come to me without hesitation, sudden and quickly
it is not me, it is my poetic soul speaking.

The inner workings of my mind take over when I hold a pen
my concious disappears and my mind starts moving
as I construct a masterpiece through my words and then
show them to other people so they can feel the soothing.

I'll say it before and I'll say it again
it is not me controlling this pen
so follow me as I count to ten
to show you all the things in this den
that is my mind and only then
will you ever know what time and when
I will come back, and rhyme again.

~ I do so know what you mean! The same thing happens to me as well. It is almost like automatic writing. Mind you, those are the poems that are 'my' best and take little or no effort at all on my part.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this ~ and can whole-heartedly identify with your 'phantom' writing experiences!

'You' wrote quite nicely about this!

Thank you so much, the same with me, my best poems require little effort, but they come out very good, like this one for example lol.

I know just what you mean - it's as if you are just the conduit between brain and hand (if writing).  I close my eyes sometimes and just type with my eyes closed, the words flow from my brain and I feel as I am not part of the process.  I love writing like that and thank God that I can type with my eyes closed (grins).

Good one, my friend.  I almost liked it best without the very end rhymes, but I liked the way you experimented with the poem.
