      Spring’s Wake

Here in these ancient hills,
where rain, forest,
lake, mind, and time,
become one…
Spring is sweeping
sunbeams, promises,
and fallen flowers,
into a fine false-dream
tapestry of endless renewal,
eternal hope, and lasting joy,
before simply…moving on…
without thought or care!

       --- b. e. adams (4/24/08)

"April is the cruelest month, breeding
lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
  memory and desire, stirring
  dull roots with spring rain."

      --- T. S. Eliot

April is blossom time, and cleaning out 'leftovers' from fall/winter.
GROAN, 'tis also time to put the skids on the poison ivy tendrils that are creeping up the garage wall! April is definitely a busy gardening month.

"Before simply... moving on... without thought or care!"
What an interesting and true thought.

You have such unique way of expressing diverse concepts with effortless flow like
"Spring is sweeping
sunbeams, promises,
and fallen flowers,
into a fine false-dream"
Pleasure to read

Enjoy lindsay's comment. It is different world.

Dear Bruce, Beautiful poem.  April rain's sorrow. Fallen flowers do not bring down the hope for fruit, right?
Always love your poem.

Bruce,

May the new life of spring bring new hope and opportunities to all.  I love this poem and am saving it.  It needs to stay on the top for a bit.

Very nice.
