It’s always dark
where Felix waits,
he’s always alone,
alone forever.

No one goes there,
because they can’t.

They can’t find the place
where Felix waits.

Felix is made of muscle,
skin, and bones,
just like the rest of them.

You’ll never look
into their eyes.

It’s too dark
to see eyes there,
where Felix waits,
with the rest of them.

Bobby

You might be surprised at how many people are waiting in the dark. When one gets used to the dark as a child it's hard to find the light. Felix will find his way. He's a smart kid.

There is the outer darkness of the unlit space, and there is the inner darkness of the mind, each in its own way is inaccessible to the outsider---we are existentially bound up in the  "privacy" of our being. I like the way your poem says this, at least in my perception of its meaning.

Thanks Art,

As you say, the privacy of ones being is a sacred thing, that can never be taken away.

Thanks for the insightful comment.

a mysterious poem, dark is full of meanings even with the prospective of the mankind seeking his way in the universe....

always nice and meaningful to read you...

Yann,

Thanks for the very kind words on this poem.

Some parts of FElix's life have been rather dark.  I'm sure you know this.

Thanks Seoulair,

Felix does have one bright spot in his Sally.  He's lucky to have her.

Felix waits where his mind is safe… He’s smart.
