        Breath of Dawn

Just beyond the fine-scented
moonbeams' final flight,
when twilight and Spring
are yet so very young,
a worn and weary poet-heart
seems suddenly new,
when touched by the first
sweet breath of dawn,
and the balm of fresh
   willows whispering
in the early morning mist.

That warm willow 'balm' is a welcome change after months of chilly mornings!

To read your verse is to travel new places in delight.  Especially loved
"Just beyond the fine-scented
moonbeams' final flight,"  That grabbed me.  Thanks for sharing

Your poetry so often reminds me of the Chinese proverb, "The miracle is not to fly in the air, or to walk on water, but to walk on the earth." You so often remind us that the earth is sacred.

This does wonderful things for this worn and weary poet heart too, Bruce.
