To find one’s center-point,
the balancing of input and output,
yin and yang,
left and right...
where brain and heart
converge in harmony
(without force);
this is a quest
worthy of timeless devotion.

Find the centering point
of a branch of driftwood,
the point at which
all that is suspended
from this nature-sculpted wood
is in equilibrium,
and know the human spirit
balances itself
similarly.

a fine 'write'...about something 'essential' that seems to have perpetually eluded me...

most serious and sustained applause for this 'penning!'

Midnitesun,

I'm sure everyone has a spiritual center-point.  However, what is to be gained by finding it, or even looking for it.

I agree with you, Kacy that finding your center point is important because it brings peace to you, even when things are in turmoil around you. I think you are very wise to realize this. Your poetry always reflects your inner peace and harmony.

Kacy - Wonderful write.  I personally think it's important to be balanced and I have strived and am striving to reach that center-point.  Just when I think I'm there then, bang, I'm shot right back again.  Yes, a test of stamina for sure.

Finding my center-balance point, is a necessity in order to survive the rigors of 'modern' life. My psyche is in tune with nature, and I prefer a simpler existence than what I actually live day-to-day. I must 'ground' myself in gardening projects, and center my spirit around nature in order to survive.
Thanks to each of you for spending a moment here with me.

i just saw this trailer for this show, Eureka and one of its teasers was an equation

emotions-logic = faith.

yet, your poem combined all three aspects very favourably. nice!
