You live in France
and you don’t care about Ethiopia,
You live in USA
and you don’t care about China
but if someday
someone misses a gulp of fresh air
you will miss it too my friend.

We are all bound to this one planet.  What a good way to remind us that what effects one eventually effects all.  Thanks for sharing

Yann,

I don't understand the last three lines.  It must just be me.  Everyone else seems to get it.

We don’t care about what goes on outside of our own walls but together we destroy the Earth and our Earth effects all of us equally… That’s what I feel from it. Beautiful and true all in one.

Hello Bobby, I'm a little sorry that you didn't understand, as a french I must perfect myself with your beautiful language....

Here is what i tried to express:

we must share the oxygen on this planet and wether it is polluted for chinese then it is also for american...Oxygen don't care the borders....We must take care of that...

Thank you very much for your comment...

Yann,

Air pollution runs in cycles throughout the so called civilized world.

You commented on how clean the air is in the U. S.

I remember back in the 50s when they had to turn the street lights on in Pittsburg at 12 noon, because of the air pollution.  That is no longer the case.  The same cycle will play it's self out in China.

Bring back the horses, but be careful, they bite.

I suggest that folk consult such sources as:

"National Air Pollutant Emission Trends: 1900-1998 Report";

http://www.epa.gov/ttn/chief/trends/index.html;[/URL]

http://www.ntis.gov/

etc...before making any 'opinionated pronouncements' (one way or another) on this particular topic!

I agree with you, yann. We must remain vigilant and take proper care of Mother Earth so that she will continue to take care of us.

A thoughtful write, which addresses a global/universal truth head-on. Congratulations, Yann. It's the butterfly effect, and Gaia isn't at all happy with what we earthlings have done to pollute the entire neighborhood.
