until time takes me
into Never-Never land
I shall remember

the one of a kind
delicous thumb print cookie
dimple in your chin

shared ice-cream sodas
two sets of brown eyes gazing
melting with each bite.

green grasses cover
your long years ago dug grave
I still remember

Joyce 4/14, 08

A fitting tribute to one you loved.  Thanks for sharing, is this truly haiku structure--I am not well versed in form and would like to know. sharyn

It's one type of Haiku. 5 seven 5 syllable lines.  No title very little punctuation.  One type is about nature only.  I maybe fudged a little.  Love, Joyce
