hair, like life
so hard to control
frustrating
until letting go
ending up with tumbleweed
blowing any way the wind
sees fit to take it

fumbling for the right look
acceptance from an unkind world
in cubes

running numbers
numbers running
jumbled, illogical band aids
people silently shouting
to be on stage, spotlight shine
on forehead, a target

growing enough to understand
a suit of facade will not
a mark in history make

midday hour full of sweating
out the frustrating
foreplay for a love that
always gives
making the rest of cube day bearable

Spanish words penetrate
the drive from one world
to another

four digit code
gains entrance
to meditation of family
tumbleweed
relaxing at last

I know that tumbleweed...

it often gets tangled up on
barbwire...

which is not like telephone wire
although at times
you can hear it sing
in the wind...

This also made me smile, Susan.  I guess we can all relate to tumbleweed and just like life it's sometimes better to just ignore it.  Easier said than done though.  Enjoyed your words.

I feel like I am watching the tumbleweed tumble and smiling.
