So the lady and the lonely made a pact today
to still that fierce and frightful beast
untamed within by force of will
and so life constructed bits and bobs to slice, cut, sever, end
the anguish and the torment of needing but not seeing
the final manifestation of a long held dream.

Not a knife or a chopper, no axe or sharpened sword
but a clear and concise decision to advance
upon the mind’s so marshy swamp
that grabbed and swallowed love.

It’s a creep and a slide to get right in the mind
and be as a saviour of the most dastardly kind
for the lonely one thinks not this life
to kill that loving feeling
that shoots like blazing fire
into the centre of desire.

And so the lady listens as to a little child
waiting patiently for the tirade to end
and smiles she then that knowing
because she’s always known
losers yet are winners
if they manage to survive.

She lays a hand upon the heart
to still the beat of what’s inside
and whispers nought but platitudes
because she’s helpless, see
to turn the lonely one
towards another form
of extraordinary love!

Another amazing poetic deed, dear Helen! This love must be lived!
You helpless? No, I don't think so. If there is a "blazing fire" it is already extraordinary love ... no?

Love,

Thank you so much, Roniece.  Sometimes what we feel is extraordinary even though we don't understand why and how it is that we feel what we do so I guess we express it the best way we can.  Some write it and some live it and the lucky few do both.

Hugs

Thanks Seoulair and Tammy!  I guess the lady and the lonely one are one and the same which just goes to show that we are more than we think we are.
