I am a powerhouse of love
reduced to lighting soul
and not the full extent
of physical advantages
but this is evolution
come before it’s time
and on the ballot paper
two choices are inscribed.

Light the way of future times
or flicker so and slowly fade
into ignorance
and so the vacillation
becomes a way of life.

Back and forth, back and forth;
‘tis not a motion made for fun
for there’s merit in the now for then,
merit in the not knowing,
and the wind blows
my decision like a leaf
into atmospheric rivers
of uncertainty.

Oh, it swirls about like a clown,
speeds up on the straight,
and disappears around the bend
with an attitude.

It’s coming up for winter now
and no one swims the rivers!

Thank you, poet friends for your kind comments.  I think the heart is whispering or else I'm going deaf but one day, one day, I'll know which way to go.

Hugs
Helen

Helen,

I think this is my favorite of yours-I have it saved.  It touches me as if you looked inside me too.

Love,

Thanks Alison, Bluesy, and Roniece.  Making decisions is sometimes hard when all the facts aren't known but the river will wait until the time is right.
