Cruising Down The River ~*Marge Tindal*~ An early morning cruise down the St. John’s River. How much serenity could this glorious day deliver? A day of perfection … and quiet reflection. The Great Blue Heron in the marshes does abide. Seeking her meal quietly on the side. Alert she remains in this lens-captured scene, This … this is totally serene. Barred Owl sitting there, staring at you Playing just a little Peek-A-Boo. Swoops down to the boat when offered a treat, Swift and on target, he keeps me on the edge of my seat. Spot an American Alligator, or two, Protecting her babies as she must do. She warns us with a hissing sound. We know we must retreat to higher ground ! The cruise is now over … yet the memories remain, I plan on taking this trip again. I hope that you have enjoyed your cruise with me, "Come back real soon ?" … I ask, with a Southern drawl. Nice cruising with "Ya’ll" ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

While scrolling down the pictures I thought of all the alligators cruising there next to you and there ... you even gave it a close look! I shudder in fear! Wonderful cruise though, spectacular pictures and always lovely words from your inspired pen, dear Marge! Love, Margherita |
