No matter where young Felix goes,
in school,
on public transportation,
or just out on the street,

he notices
the odd way everyone
seems to be looking at him.

They will spot him accidentally,
and fix him with a stare.

He goes home,
and looks at himself
in the mirror.

Yes,
that’s him,
staring back at himself.

No,
he hasn’t changed
since last time he saw himself
in the mirror.

He thinks it’s very odd,
that people keep staring at him.

Bobby

The rough deals that Felix has had to endure have obviously left a visible impression that is noted by the passers by. He obviously has grown accustomed to what we consider to be awful experiences & has come to accept it as the norm and therfore does not see the scars on the outside. I am sure he is covered in battle scars internally. The sad thing is those who look sideways as they pass Felix would probably look the other way when Felix needed someone to stand uo for him...good write Bobby

Thanks John,

You raise a good point.  I never thought of that.

It must be like hearing a recording of your own voice.  That always leaves me with the question--"Is that me?"

WindWalker,

Thanks for that really kind statement about Felix.  He and I very much value your words on the Felix poems.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Dear RDB,

It's kind of a mystery to Felix.  If he was sitting on an empty bus, people would always come in and either sit across from him, or next to him.  Perhaps the human animal just wants to be with other humans.  They must be pack animals.

Bobby,

Funny - maybe he just draws people with the edge he has developed.  I agree with Wind Walker, I like the Felix poetry too.

Yo Alison,

Felix doesn't know what it is.  As he gets older, it gets even better.  People are nice to him.  He really likes that, and wonders what he ever did to deserve it.

He must have  an unique character..to attract      all those "attentions".

So what is it? Mr.Jordan.

Seoulair,

I don't know what it is.  I do know it's not his magnetic and dynamic personality.

Felix must be astounded at his awesome magnetism- at least that's how I see it.  Thank you for another episode of Felix's life.
