When I was young
I longed for the stars,
sizzling shooting ones
and far away oranges
in the trees of Heavens,
I looked up every night
on God’s embroidery.

Now i consider
that the only real star
is the one in your heart
when somebody loves you.

yes, indeed it is....

but then there are those who know they're loved without someone...does that make any sense?

Thank you for such a beautiful poem...

You have some unique phrasing and fine imagery.  Especially these lines.
"When I was young
I longed for the stars,
sizzling shooting ones
and far away oranges
in the trees of Heavens,
I looked up every night
on God’s embroidery."
Thanks for sharing--I'm sorry it took me so long to see this

hmmmmmmm ... I think I am still young, dear Yann! hehe

Nothing compares to "God's embroidery"! You say that so beautifully!

But of course to have a heart star IS an immense joy too!

Very lovely write!

Love,
Margherita

Hi yann, I love this poem. I have a special feeling for the night sky. Your writing is improving everyday and I think you are even getting used to some of our typical American expressions. You are a quick learner and keen observer.
