       Spring dawn

In the dwindling moonlight
just before dawn,
listen close…
to the music of life’s
  reawakenings,
and you may glimpse
all the grand new hopes,
  dreams, and promises,
(that dance with the furtive,
fleeting shadows)
veiled in the misty breath
of such a fine Spring morning.

That sounds wonderful but I'm a terrible insomniac and I'm sleeping like a baby around that time. Now I'm going to have to decide, Do I stay up or get up? Not often mind you.

Yep, that's when the rowdy robins start their 'happy' tunes serenade, which is OK weekdays, not much fun Saturday morning.
Oh, this is a fine write, makes me want to get up at 5 AM. (maybe)

Secondhanddreampoet,

This is very lovely.

Spring mornings before dawn are interesting here in the hood.

Many times I'm awakened by the thump-thump of a basketball across the street in the playground--a Felix coming back from a late night "appointment".

Unbelievably, you've captured that.  I like it.

God bless us all.

This was a lovely piece. It had a warm feel and made me feel as if I were there.

Most beautiful, dear Bruce. I love to wake up by these dawn sounds, but then I'd love to go on sleeping a little bit, also because early morning dreams are best remembered ...

Love,
