Is it alright for a man to cry,
When his mother's baby in the womb has died?
She was six months and 20 days, I was counting the moments,
So I can have another little sister, I was just caught in the moment.

I wanted to see her grow, I wanted to teach her things,
I wanted to be a real brother, now I can only write,
Songs at night that I frequently sing,
Hoping that my sister I never saw has angel wings.

It's been a year and I still cry to this day,
I just wish things wouldn't have to be this way.
I wish I could have my little sister in my arms,
Instead she is gone, and I am left with harm.

I would have been the best brother I could,
Now I can only imagine what I could of done,
I could have taught her how to use wood,
And she could be next to me shooting a gun.

When I heard the sad news a void was formed in my heart,
I should have never got so happy at the start.

I am sorry for your loss & the ensuing pain. Sometimes there seems to be no sense or logic in the harsh deals we get in life. It will get better in time. I had to suffer the loss of 3 children before my daughter came along. She has more than made up for that & can sometimes be more of a handful than 4 kids together... Everything happens for a reason I guess,

Thank you for your words...I'm crying right now because of this poem... I never expressed how I felt about this situation.. so It's been bottled for awhile.

This is so beautiful and you have expressed your love, loss, and pain so well… You should let your mom read this.

Thank you for sharing this, it’s beautifully incredible.
