.

Whoever is responsible for the quote
That grown Men don't cry
Should see the lump in my throat
And the tears in my eyes...

This is not the way
That it's supposed to be
A Mother losing her child
Is such cruelty

I feel so helpless & crushed
And don't know what to say
I wish I could just
Make your pain go away

Tammy, your nightmare will never end
And I know you shall always miss Larry
But we as your friends
All share the burden you carry

And you will never be alone
Within these pages blue
For now you are one of our own
Part of the family too.....

Ahhh, how touchingly you bare your heart, dear John!
A deeply compassionate write for our new friend Tammy.
Thank you for reaching out.
Yes men do cry and I love those who admit it and don't feel diminished by showing their emotions of the heart. This is their true power.
Love,
Margherita

Than you Maga, you know another fallacy is that crying makes you feel better, it doesn't. A necessary emotion? Yes for sure but I feel a somewhat wasted one at times..How can something as powerful as the outpouring of grief not make a difference / change anything? xx  John

OH Dear John,

You have gone and made me cry…

I don’t know how to thank you for these beautiful, beautiful words my dear friend… I am so honored to be included in your family here on these pages. And I will keep and cherish these words you have written for me for as long as I live… There truly is love and compassion in this world, we just have to look for it.

Thank you so very much John.

Lots of love to you,

Tammy,

Please don't cry, you'll set me off again...And as for thanks, it is I that should thank you for allowing us into your world to meet Larry. He is a fine looking young man, I was that handsome once

I do hope you stick around because they really are a special bunch of people on here as you will see for yourself. I am touched that I could write something of worth for you. There is a lot of love and compassion within these precious blue walls.  Welcome to the family, and remember to visit us often we are here for YOU ..

Take care & say hi to Larry from me next time you talk to him....much love,  John

Wonderfully and thoughtfully written, my friend, and yeah, wish I had a nickle for all the water I've shed...and that doesn't include sweat!

When I saw the Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corp cry at the bedside of a wounded solider, it only affirmed my long held belief I am no less a man when I'm moved to tears.

A superb poem, John!

Bobby, I’m afraid I was brought up the old way & it was not considered the done thing for the male of the species to show their feelings & cry. So by those standards, I’m a softie, but you know what? I could care less this is me and yes, I DO cry Thanks for understanding, you are a true gent...

Hiddensmiles, ThisDiamond,  I thank you...

Tammy, See? I knew you could do it! So let me get this straight, I’m a man, I cry, & I’m now in your life....Ha, now you just try & git me out, I don’t think so......

RDB, I asked you not to tell anyone what we did, what time does the confessional close ? I’d better get my skates on...

Jimmy,  Thanks my friend... you are a guy after my own heart...

Ida, thank you so much, those comments really mean a lot, Cheers

Steve, I admire your work greatly which makes your comments even more precious, Thanks Guy....

Dixie, you said it Gorgeous, I hope you are doing OK, we must chat again soon,  xx

Thanks James, you are one cool guy, I ever tell you that?

Yann, I am glad I managed to touch you. Do not hide your feelings my friend, it will only tear you up inside. Let it out...

Gilead, Thanks for the praise & the analogy, I shall feel better when I do shed a tear thinking of that situation you refer to...God Bless you...

Marge, you have no idea how long I’ve waited for one of your huglets I am just sorry that this was the topic that earned me one, Thanks !

K-K, Now you are making me blush, guess I’m a full blown softie now!

1 slick-lady, Thanks for that....

Paul! How are you mate? Long time no see, I have had major creative blockages lately, I guess Tammy may have kick started my muse...thanks for the eyes....

As it just so happens John, I rather prefer the full blown softies, as most women probably do.

John, your tender, compassionate heart is what makes you the real man that you truly are. Tammy's tragic loss has touched me deeply as well. I am so pleased that she discovered piptalk and that she is able to share her grief through her poetry with her new-found friends ~ such as yourself.

God bless you both,
Linda
