Lumpy oatmeal makes me crazy!

0 posted 2008-04-07 12:19 PM

I wrote poetry of innocence, inspired
by fairies and happy ever after,
moons with halos circling the stars.
I wrote a child’s memories of good
shining out among memories of bad,
love prevailing in hardship.

Now, I hurl all that against a heart of stone,
     smashing stories into smithereens,
exposing the inner core of lies.
Fairy tales of happy ever after merely
inspire a bitter smile as ripped Golden Book pages
     fall like leaves now dead.

Do not tell me of unknown reasons.
Everything does not have a reason;
we say that to find hope from injustice.
Platitudes rain like snow drops drifting
in the face of unreasonable cruelty
and I no longer believe in reasons.

...

RDB,

I wrote this in tears.  He found out today that the cancer is in his liver.  I really do rely on your hugs and love.  Thank you - I know this is not about 'me'.  It just hurts so damned bad.

Dear Seoulair,

Yes, you are right.  It's frustrating - and I feel so hopeless and helpless to offer him anything.  Thank you, dear one.

I'm am so sorry, Alison. I don't know what else to say. I do know where you are at right now, I've been there and if there are reasons for everything we don't have to like them,
              Hugging you with understanding

((((Alison))))

You speak words to which multitudes can relate, yet we all need a bath in happy waters every now and then, to recover from all the hardship of this valley of tears, for which we have not yet found a solution.

Every 3,6 seconds a child dies of hunger!! It's enough to stop our laughters for the rest of our lives ... we all need to awaken to love, put aside the weapons to destroy each other and bring more pain. The money wasted in wars should be used for scientific research to find solutions for all the tremendous illnesses that keep killing us and solutions for all the enormous amount of injustices perpetrated in this world.

May Universal healing energies flood your heart and your friend Cane's heart.

I love you.
Margherita

Alison,

This is very good writing.  The line:

"Everything does not have a reason;"

is worth the read.
