John,

I'm glad you enjoy reading things at the Drum, this is what it's about although I left this message at another place for another friend of mine Gary, the Greatwhiteelkhunter.

Come sit by the drum little one
shhhh, clear your head
listen inside yourself
hear the song within your own being.
The song of the Ancients has no beginning or end
it has always been
Many have sought it
few and precious are those who find it
Make it your own little one.
From it you came, unto it you will return
the Grandfather of all Grandfathers sends his blessing,
his Woman with him always.
The fire burns brightly before you
draw yourself close, slowly, cautiously
for it is your life and without it we are as nothing...

Grandfather Spirit
Wanka Tanka
the Great Spirit above
hear me as a child conceived in Love
guide my steps as I approach you
correct me when I am wrong
take the bitterness from me
let me sing a happy song
Many are the paths I've walked through this world
Many are the times I stumbled
Few were the times I called out to you
When my time came and I called out, you answered me
You set your sign in the clouds
and I saw you are with me always.
Thank You for allowing me life
and the ability to find my way home.

Joe, thank you so much for that, this like so much of the other stuff associated with your good self is amazing... I am so glad to have come across you on Pip. Long may you continue to post. I have no words to do justice to the power & empathy I feel when reading these truly emotive writes. I feel I now have a far better understanding of the rites, rituals & beliefs behind the folk lore your native ancestors. Thanks again,  John
