I wrote this for a friend of mine and although he didn't appreciate the finer points of humor I used in response to him telling me he had connections in the Gov and that he could have boots on the ground to come and kick in my door as he put it that in the end we are still friends and that what Bob Marley said about it's a foolish dog that barks at a flying bird will always hold true. It goes like this;

Tin star law dog, the lone park ranger
with a plastic whistle he's looking for danger
and maybe to arrest a few crows.

How low can he go?

Take it back litterbug, that's against the law
you wouldn't believe all the crimes that he saw
Yogi and Boo Boo pilfering baskets
a gang of raccoons wearing black maskes
all of the birds have been pooping on cars
well this time nature has took it too far

So he traded in his whistle and bought him a gun
and threatened the crows for ruining his fun
said he'd track em all down and find where they lived
and make them pay for the crime that the park ranger did

Well Nature just laughed because we own it all
and out here in the woods we are the Law
and no ones afraid of a silly park ranger
who thinks that his gun can protect him from danger....

With a voice that is One, the park ranger refused
and blames the crow because he is confused
and the park ranger suffers because his obsession
while the High Priest awaits to hear his confession
but this ain't his story it's all been in vain
I've said it all once I'll not say it again.

ADIOS

Very good Joe, I hope he managed to see the funny side! As the great rastafari also said " I shot the sheriff" whilst my mind was in Marley mode, that other tune of his popped into my head & I could not help but alter the words to 'No Lawman, No Cry...'   John
