They sat under a moon
Holding hands
like fallen soldiers,
His feet dangled like kites
That braided the days wind.

He sat with her
on the rifts edge of the roof,
The city lights just over the hills tip.

Her voice, it ran across his face like
The people they watched cross the streets.

With the coyotes creaking to the far east,
And the numbers on houses too far to see,

They were alone, alone as can be.
