           The Journey Home

Man set out long ago across the field of time
no map to follow just a star to guide him
that God left for a sign.
The journey was marked as a zigzag line
etched into the stone
and when he makes it to the other side
he'll finally find his home.
A place where Man can live in peace
free from the thief and all his troubles far behind
for the world he lives in now
is just a reflection of his mind.

Man's still on this journey as it remains until this day
and God still sends him blessings
to help him on his way
It seems life has always been a struggle
but that was written in the stone
and make no mistake it's no twist of fate
that only Love can bring him home.
Now home is where the heart is
and I know these words are true
there's no distance great or small
that can make me forget my love for you
so if you see him walking don't be sad he's not alone
with his Woman right beside him
their love will take them home....

Joe, I have recently returned to work after surgey & have way too much catching up to do, I have popped in here occasionally but truth be told, I am having no creative urges just lately. I am hoping the great posts I have been reading might kick start my muse.... I have been on to your site a number of times lately & it is an amazing body of work & collection of posters you have there. Please keep posting in open as I do admire your thoughts & writing in here.

John

Oh, this has brought tears to my eyes and even given me a little hope... You have written of my soul mate and me and our horrendous struggle to move forward through our ultimate loss…

Thank you for writing this and more so for sharing it…
