During the first week of April,
Felix’s poor, worn-out, torn-up,
twelve-year-old body
was so severely, and
cruelly misused by clients,
that it was doubtful that
he would even live to see
the second week of April.

April always was a bad month
client-wise for Felix.
It seems that something
just crawls up from hell,
and into his clients' creepy souls,
making them even
more cruelly rotten
during that hurtful, hateful,
the first week of April.

It happens every year.
It rolls around
just like clock-work.
Felix always knows
he’s doomed,
the first week of April.

Felix’s life is cruel enough
out on the hard street already,
without that awful week,
the first week of April.

He could really well
do without
that horrible week,
the first week of April.

Really,
when it gets right down
to the nitty-gritty of that week,
all Felix can do
is pray to his ever-loving God
for protection from
the prowling wolves
that roam the mean streets
of his home turf, during
the first week of April.

Bobby

wonderful.
Why was the first week of April so bad to Felix?

Seoulair,

Thanks so much for reading.

As far as the first week in April always being bad for Felix, I think it has to do with the phases of the moon.

Poor Felix, So sad that there are people who prey on children like that.

It almost makes me stop breathing ...

and this kid prayed to God and has
maintained his faith!

Now that I have recovered the breath, I want to shout.

Love,

Ida,

Yes it is a shame.  Felix is a tough guy, he can take it.

Margherita,

As you know, Felix always has been a good Catholic boy.  That's one of his greatest strengths.  He has his faith to depend on.
