"Future"

I'm being pulled so many different ways
My future so uncertain now it seems
So many sleepless nights and taxing days
I've lost the strength with which I'd held my dreams

When I was young, this seemed so far away
But now impatiently my future waits
I wonder, shall I go or shall I stay?
The choice not mine, it seems, but that of Fate

I wonder often now, what could have been
Had I not thrown my destiny aside?
For now I feel my psyche wearing thin
As I stagger on through life without a guide

I sense a coming change around the bend
For good or ill, as yet I cannot say
I wait for wounds of yesterday to mend
And wearily upon my future pray

AMdG

love the read. I think that  the future is how our hearts guide us toward our wish in life.

very good poem.

I think a lot of people are worrying about the future these days. I hope things improve for you.
