we peeled stamps off our envelopes just to taste the glue again like it was when we were other people in younger skin tennis shoes I heard your bare feet running looking for towels for a spill and I was poking holes in the sky with my pony on a stick there were no commercials long enough for our love times to heal only slow motion movie stars that enjoyed watching us change channels then replay the wanting parts again til we had them down in our memories and mailed them to ourselves later somewhere else in time to read them and come back here to our future _____________ daark |
