Rest your weary head
upon a deep-time pillow.
Let go the travails of today.
Purge your heart and mind
of all worries and thoughts.
Breathe deeply of the moment,
the only moment that exists.
Allow your spirit to soar
in limitless azure skies
like the indomitable eagle,
high above cathedral mountaintops,
across the vast oceans and prairies
where space-time asks no questions,
and makes no human demands.
Fret not of yesterday or tomorrow.
Rest your weary head
upon a deep-time pillow,
and breathe freely
the gift of life.

Dear Kacy, I think I just waited for your soulful mantra. Now I am ready to immerse myself in the sea of peace brought along by your wonderfully soothing words!

A keeper!

Thank you.

A very befitting mantra, one of which I desperately needed here lately Kacy...

Kacy, thank you for this beautiful gifting of words.  You always seem to write just what I need, just when I need it.

Thank you, sweetie.

Hey Kacy, I try to keep myself in that lineup also but some days I just teeter this way and that and hope I find my way back...

your poem does that...

It brings me back.

Again, thank you...

Donna, that teeter-totter can become a monster.
I am delighted if anything I wrote can help make that thing behave!

Midnitesun,

That's what i do if I can't sleep at night.  Let everything drift off into outer space.  Starting with the toes.

a most fine and interesting 'write!'...

I am especially fond of:

"Allow your spirit to soar
in limitless azure skies
like the indomitable eagle,
high above cathedral mountaintops,
across the vast oceans and prairies
where space-time asks no questions,
and makes no human demands(!)"

serious applause!!

In the soul of sound
this mantra is born
on eagle wings.

Wonderful song, this.
