Silly shadows dancing in midday light
I can see that all the loving started there
In hindsight I live in brooding fright
Such that these feeling I can never share

Wind, rain, sun, snow and me
All fictitiously there
The only thing they can’t do is look at me and stare
Such imagining can never be

Dreams have came true in the later years of course
Yet I destroy them ignorantly out of spite with zero remorse
Save myself from the past and give oneself over to the future
Such things have to be

I know those shadows, Brian...
they can engulf one at times.
Sometimes, it seems so easy
to give in to them...
