Fred and Felix Seek The Truth

The derelict,
whose name is Fred,
and Felix discuss at length
their lives.

Why is Fred on the street,
and always alone?

Why is Felix on the street,
and so seldom alone?

They tell each other tales,
and never tell the truth,
because they don’t know
the exact answers
to those questions.

If they did,
they wouldn’t tell.

What happened to Fred? I knew a lady like fred, she was always on the street and always drinking. The kids called her Agnes, for some reason, but I heard her real name was Elenor and she had once been a teacher.
She got hit by a truck one night not too far from my house.

Fred is still in Felix's life. You will be hearing more about Fred--soon.

Fred saved Felix's life, Fred is important to Felix.
