Planning My Own Demise

I sat there in that quiet cold,
planning my own demise,
he sat across, drinking tea,
staring into my eyes,
and upon noting there was nothing there
I said, “it’s not nice to stare”
but he’d seen through the disguise.

Indifference, itself, is a struggle,
a heavy cross to bear,
to recall greater, bigger days
filled with happiness and care,
I stutter to say it’s just a phase-
and upon noting there was nothing there,
I said, “it’s not nice to stare”
but he already knows my ways.

And though I sat silently,
he heard the weeping cries,
he saw the many failures
amidst the countless tries,
but he did not let me carry out
planning my own demise.

Yes.

It is good to have plans, and certainly an adult should always have backup plans, but no matter what, death gets us all eventually....

I am glad you are around my friend.

Dixie - For myself I plan a quiet and easy passing because I dare not think of it any other way but always there is the proviso of "when it is time".  There it sits then as an intention and time will do the rest.  That aside I always enjoy your words and this was no exception.

Dixie,

Pretty amazing poetry you are writing - ditto to all that everyone else said.  Keep writing - I think that there is a place for your poetry in the publication world.

Passing shadows,

Very good work--you are way correct.  It’s never—ever, nice to stare.

Dixie

As I said in my Email
That idea MUST be put on hold
I promised you that plan will fail
Now just do as you are told ...

You know what to do next....

((((Dixie)))) I am grateful that he stopped your plans. Thanks to God there is always someone or something not letting us insist in certain thoughts.
You are unique and precious!
And a wonderful poetess.
And I love you.

Has anyone told you how proud we are of you?

Dixie my friend, there are so many people out there who are pulling for you, so wipe

all thoughts of demise out of your mind and thank God it was just a parting phase.

Always remember things are never as bad as they seem. A big warm hug to you dear lady.
