I am left alone
beaten on the inside.
Karma is not done with me yet.

Too late to make amends to her
she continues to give me
what I must have given life times ago.
No guilt or shame
for my lack of understanding
why this piece of my life must be so hard,
so seemingly undeserved.

I am without something.
Something I have on the tip of my tongue.
Missing, leaving me with a touch of empty
a feeling of loss.

Yet I don’t weep for it.
I don’t plead for it.
It just isn’t and I fill the dark space
with what won’t do.
What isn’t meant to be there for long.

I wait
For her to be done

Whispering “sorry” over and over
to no one.

Except for "him" replacing "her".. I can relate to this Susan.

Great writing, I wish I knew that something I am without that leaves me so empty...and sometimes I wonder why it seems I am being punished so much lately...for things out of my control.

M~ The her, of course, being Karma, God/dess, whatever one believes...  but you know that and I know you understand...sometimes it's a hard life.

J~I'm done peeking for awhile...

Dear Susan, though I feel sorry for this tough time you are going through, I will say that you should substitute the word "sorry" with "thank you for the brightness that is coming into my life now". Universe will answer.

A very deeply involving write and I am ever so glad you are writing again and sharing, it will contribute to fill the mysterious missing something.

Sending much love and a big hug.

Sometimes I feel guilty for what I write.  The reason being, I take a small feeling and magnify it for poetry sake.  I am a lot stronger than I portray in my writing. Thank you for your concern, but I really am okay.
