Lumpy oatmeal makes me crazy!

Lazy Sunday precedes a week
filled with days moving too fast,
too hectic and frenetic.
And, now I sit on a Lazy Sunday,
poetry dancing in my head
idle thoughts whisper
with the book at my side.

This gray day invites solitude,
caught between winter
and the early throes of spring.
I feel like dreaming
of summer gardens
washed with thunder showers
shouting in deep voices

Lazy day with coffee laced
with Kahlua and half and half
Quiet morning with music
playing on the stereo,
dogs and cats snoring in tune.
I  think of my tumbled bed
as it calls to me

on this lazy Sunday.

Alison,

Nice--I like the shouting thunder showers.

Sounds good to me. This makes me want to just stay in bed.
