Amid the riotous profusion
of the vibrancy of Spring
rests
the fundamental
starkness
of
black and white.

All-too-often
we reveal
some core fatal human flaw,
or at best,
an insipid essence
of who we are,
within and without.

For when we allow
sharp
differences
to separate us,
the multi-colored
collection of life
loses essential components
of its foundation.

Midnitesun,

This is a well written and profound indictment of all forms of bigotry, be it racial, religious, economic, or social.

Thank you, lady Maureen, and Bobby.

Yes, I too agree with what you've said.  Keep that rainbow "in mind" and it will always be seen.  Enjoyed!

and, sadly, that is what makes us human.

Wonderful poetry, Midnitesun.

Such wise statements very efficiently rendered. Differences should enrich us, never seperate us.

A highly significant write!
