A Friend in Need

Precious Savior, had I been there,
Would I have been your friend?
And like those faithful others
Stayed until the very end?
Would I have offered water
As you hung upon the cross?
Put my arms around your mother
As she mourned her bitter loss?

I pray I'd not have turned away
As many did that fateful day.

Dear Joyce,

This is a beautiful poem for Holy Week.  Don't forget, Easter is coming.

You do good work Hon.

Oh, dear Joyce, I love your words.

I had similar thoughts this evening when we visited five different churches for the traditional adoration of the holy sacrament in memory of the last supper. We use to stay a few minutes in meditation. Your thoughts are perfect for the occasion. One church would be enough of course, but here we have so many wonderful churches that it is a pleasure to visit more (either 1, 3, 5, 7 etc. it should be an odd number, I have no idea why, it's the tradition).

I wonder together with you ...

Love,
Margherita

A humble question from a faithful lady.  Especially as I watched the movie, "The Passion" I wondered what I'd have done had I been there at the time.  It's so easy to
think we would or would not have done some-
things, but like Peter, when it comes right down to it...we're weaker than we 'd like to think.  i really enjoyued this.

Happy Easter to you and yours.
