Wake, my friend, from fitful sleep!
The moon has vanquished day to night.
Share with me what you have seen,
and I shall warm with you my wine.

Was it fever raptured you?
I have white willow bark to cure;
calendula and feverfew,
valerian that I've procured.

I made broth for you to sip.
You'll pardon me? You do seem lean.
Pheasant shall be served forthwith.
Eat, and tell your tales to me.

Do not fear--no ghost appears before your wary eyes!
Speak your truth and I'll tell you the lies of my demise.

Very intresting poem, Hypatia. Much enjoyed.
I don't think I have read you before but will make sure that I do in the future.

you brew a hearty broth
and spin a ghastly tale
now gift a moment's pause
and hear how truth prevailed

That your demise
was coined from lies
I am most pleased to hear.
Your poetry so fresh and new
would not be writ
If tales were true
or so it would appear.

Nice writing.  Joyce

Yes!

Gads, I wish I were well enough to write...I would have liked to have this on my charts.

Well done, m'friend.

What is wrong with me?  I saw Brad Pitt being nursed back to health   This was a picturesque poem, well in my head anyway.
