Sally’s sixty-six,
slim,
and pretty as a picture.

Felix is seventy-two,
svelte,
and handsome like a younger man.

They get around each day,
exercise,
and don’t make hogs of themselves
at the dinner trough.

They look around,
and are shocked to see,
people so much younger
than themselves,
and how the youngsters
have let themselves go
completely to pot.

It’s a shame,
it really is,
and their hearts go out
to all the unfortunately
gross entities.

Bobby

Booby, I went back to work this week & in the cafeteria today I saw a young girl that was so badly overweight but was wearing the latest stick thin models new line, it was not a pretty sight...now I have to re picture you in my minds eye as svelte, & I'm liking the look....Now, go chase Sally Tiger !      John

John,

"ROAR--ROAR" (Tiger sounds to make an impression on the beautiful Sally).

Felix is loping along after Sally, all 165 pounds, 6 feet long of him.

Thanks for reading, and commenting on this one.

I'm so glad that Felix is now a healthy, happy, seventy-two year old.  May the Easter Bunny be good to him.  Love, Joyce

Just popping to a) let you know I am still reading and I do like to read Felix's story...and b) to mention that there are people out there with medical reasons for being overweight...something in the bible says something about not judging...what was that?

Susan,

I am aware of that problem.  My mother was overweight, as are many of my friends and relatives.  I would never judge anyone.  I have too many glaring faults of my own.

It's only a poem, and I'm sorry if I have offended anyone.

Ya know, I think that Felix is pretty lucky to hold onto a beauty like Sally.  They are a great couple.
