.

When Balladeer strode into the arena
And his stuff began to strut
Effjayel laughed like a hyena
At Toerag following his Master like a mutt

As Young Eff removed his gown
The packed crowd went ballistic
And poor old ‘Deer could not hide his frown
For he knew he would soon be a statistic

There could be no mistaking
Who was the best man in the room
And ‘Deer began violently shaking
As he prepared to face his doom

When they were brought together by the referee
Who asked if the rules were understood
The old man whispered ”Please don’t hurt me...
I can’t stand the sight of blood “

Balladeer just stood there mesmerised
As the bell began to ring
When Effjayel hit him between the eyes
He heard little birdies sing

He could not regain his feet even with the help of Toe
And at the final bell, the winner was Effjayel
‘Deer was beaten by a TKO

Allright Mike, Throw the towel in
Give up this fight because you’ll never win

You did the best you can but it’s time to call it quits
Because I’ll not fight an unarmed man

When it comes to a battle of wits

.

Round 2 ~ and one up!!!

It appears that I may have been mistaken and that you truly are the better man! ~ at least in the ring. However, Ball-a-deer is still the best buck that I have ever had.

Round two goes to effjayel, his star is shining brightly
It’s become apparent that he can’t be taken lightly
Now it’s up to Balladeer to show what he can do
He has some ground to make up after losing in round two

The odds are getting even as ole Johnny shows his wit
But Balladeer’s in trouble ‘cause he has no place to spit
Ole Toe was there at ringside working as his corner man
When he picked up ‘Deers bucket and then off with it he ran

It seems Toe’s gut was rumbling and he got a sudden urge
He grabbed up ‘Deers new bucket and he went outside to purge
He ran outside behind a tree and then he took a squat
And turned the champ’s new bucket into a port-a-pot

Then Toe returned back to the ring and he was feeling swell
He told ole Balladeer the bucket served him very well
When Balladeer heard what he’d done he almost had a fit
He screamed at Toe, “I told you that the bucket is for SPIT!”

Ku, Thanks, glad you enjoyed...

Linda, I am the best in any arena, I make ‘em moan ‘cos it keeps them keener !

Yann, you could be right, pick a corner, your money on red or blue?

Bonnie, I am planning a tactical attack!

Steve, you are a star! Thanks for joining in, I love your witty responses....

Linda,

I’ll leave the duels to Eff and ‘Deer they can fight all day
I’d rather spend my energy in a much better way
While they are busy poundin’ one another in the ground
I’ll be takin’ care of all the pretty girls around

So Linda dear, you need to know the real truth of it all
If you really need a man you know just who to call
The others will just come and go; they’ll never pass the test
‘Cause when it comes to pleasin’ gals this Okie is the best

Linda

I had thought that Steve was OK
But now I know that is just where he is from
You may think he is sweet
But I’ll not be beat
So send him on his way….

He is suffering from premature infatuation
Your pleasure is not his priority
When you are ready for fun
He will be all done
You will be far better off with me

Oh, dear! After replying to Steve, I just now read your poetic comeback reply to me. What's a girl to do?!? So many choices. So little time.

Do you really believe that Steve is suffering from "premature infatuation"?!? That could be a problem. I'll keep your offer in mind and let you know how it all plays out! lol

Now Johnny boy I was going to let you have a little break
But now it seems you’ve crossed the line and that I cannot take
The thumping Balladeer gave you has caused you some confusion
If you really want to dance you’re suffering from delusion

If I decide to get involved before the day has dawned
You’re going to get your sorry butt kicked back across the pond
So choose your battles wisely and here’s a little hunch
If you get in the ring with me you better pack a lunch

You better stick with sparring with ole Balladeer and Toe
‘Cause they take care of all the little wannabes you know
Linda, you’re much better off with this ole Okie guy
And don’t pay no attention to that blow hard shepherd’s pie

Thank you so much RDB
for all the support you have given me
There is a new kid flying high
on the block this year
So  wave goodbye to Balladeer
laying him to rest will be a cinch
And they will all be impressed (even that Grinch )
I will dispatch him in a timely manner
Make sure you catch that Vandana…

Now then Steve, I do believe
That would be a grave mistake
I may have crossed the line
But you will find
It is your heart that I will break…

Only an Okie punk
Would think I was punch drunk
For the outcome is purely academic
If you mess with me then it will surely be
You that needs the services of a paramedic

Kick my backside across the pond?
You got that wrong
I’m afraid it is you that is befuddled
Linda if it is  the truth you seek
This pussy is too weak
To kick a mouse across a puddle

It is a common misnomer
That guys from Oklahoma
Are full of anything but themself
So stick with me & leave that ugly okie
Sittin’ on the shelf….

It seems one day ole Effjayel was feelin’ pretty cocky
Thought when he got in the ring that he could fight like Rocky
But he made a huge mistake the day he thought he’d try
To match poetic talents with the Oklahoma guy

Just one punch was needed in that first and final round
It sent ole Eff so high he’d starve before he hit the ground
The crowd yelled their approval and they shouted with delight
When Sewasham launched the latest British satellite

And now ole Eff is circling there somewhere out in space
With Sewasham’s glove print tattooed there across his face
But no one needs to feel too bad for Effjayel you see
‘Cause now he’s teaching Martians how to brew a spot o’ tea

Long will they remember and the tales the folks will tell
Of how ole Sewasham kicked the butt of Effjayel
And if he ever comes back down he better learn his place
Or he’ll get his tea and crumpets kicked back into outer space

And his stuff began to strut

Good grief!  It's like fighting Toerag all over again!
All talk and no talent.
Work on it, son. Your weapons can use a lot of work

Well Mike, that just serves to prove how adaptable ( & superior) I am. It is not easy having to modify what I am trying to say in order for the simpletons among you understand & still maintain the flow. You do have a slight advantage having fought Toe in the past. I guess he was a kind of warm up fight for you. Only difference this time around is the ending will be different. I hear you were the winner last time? And therein lies the moral, the last time will be your last taste of victory... I bear you no malice & in fact have a modicum of respect for you old duffers. Now please, retire gracefully, I would hate to turn my fellow Pipsters against me for prolonging the agony and inflicting more pain than is required ...

hehe...don't worry. As long as you keep trying to rhyme blood with understood and think meter is something you put coins in to park longer, I'm safe enough!
