  A Walk in the Forest

Along this ancient
  woodland path,
infinitely older than
  our cares…

what compels our lives?

No need here for fame,
  nor heroes…
even the sun and moon
are but fellow travelers,
in ‘deep-time’ wander
and endless wonder.

Sanative serenity rises
to greet the calm and
  humble spirit.

"even the sun and moon
are but fellow travelers"
As always, you hit the target.

(I was a little afraid, too!)

It has been too long since my last communion. I can't remember the last time I walked a path as lush and peaceful as you describe. Thanks for taking me there, b.

This one's being printed out and put on the office wall, a path to disappear on at any time, and a new favorite among favorite poems of yours and MidniteSun's.

This a remarkable poem that goes to the core, without fluff and flare.

I am pleased to read you for the first time.

This is soothing on a night that I need soothing. I think I will end my night on this lovliness.
