She grew her herbs in a windowsill
..the sun overstayed its welcome there
Macrame owls with wooden eyes
..hung by loops holding ivy and aloe
Recycling before it was 'the thing' to do
..newspaper stacked neatly by the door
Patchouli lingers in the breeze that's
..coming in the screen, blowing across the basil
Woodsy smell of cannabis and tea
..scents combined to create a signature

you just took me back to my Aunt Sue's house....especialy this part. God I miss her. I am keeping this one...

Finding an old fashioned health food store and you can find that soothing aroma.
My mom wasn't a Hippie but I do miss the smells of coming home. Fresh bread mainly.
She used to make sachets and tuck them in the clothes drawer. Make cone wreathes. In a little town not to far away called Grand Rapids, Ohio has that comfy feeling and aroma.
