What eludes me?  The hawk that stands alone, awaiting a tender prey...such
frightening thoughts.    What binds me?  The skies ever blue upon a spring
eve?   The light of daybreak that threads across slumbering covers, awaiting
a soft, barely audible stir.

Why does it take me, in awe, frozen to the moment, in need of a
warm caress that might be lingering at some future moment...

I stand beneath the darkened skies penetrated by a mariner’s
way of escape.  Hoping soon to lie softly beside that which
eludes me nightly....silken dreams, just silken dreams covering
the stirring of youth, the silence of age and the moment of
awareness....when labors grow old and old bones
await another day as a squeeky wheel cries for
grease.
