On certain days a presence may appear out of thin air
where grasses in the meadow nod in tempo to its' sway.
Consider it an omen or mere notion if you wish,
but other worlds may beckon from outside the work-a-day.

The light may hold a glimmer that's reserved for times as these,
reflecting days whose passage seems another life ago,
and given time to wander, that the mind should see it thus
seems only too apropos for the years have made it so.

I cast my will to gather all these things back unto me,
that I shall spread them freely at such times they are recalled,
those moments lost to memory of another way to be
when the wind might spill its' secrets to the child in us all.

And so, to step outside while still remaining here at task,
it's how I've placed my wager, that is all that I can ask.

Dr.Moose1,

This is fairly good.  I don't quite understand the "its'", as just plain old "its" is the possessive case of “it”.

Am I missing something?

Robert,
Thank you, no you haven't missed anything, I
did. You are quite correct about the possesive "its", I'm afraid this is a mistake I've been making for quite a while so I do appreciate you pointing it out.
Doc

Ida,
Thank you, I guess you could call this a melancholy retrospective.
Doc

Alison,
Thank you. Perhaps we'll run into each other in the workshop.
Doc
