Some like felines
and their impudent egoism,
Others like birds
and their daylong songs.

These friends of animal societies
have the heart that hoots,
longs, crows or cheeps,
sometimes mews or moans.

Alas the Animal friends
will not be someday friends anymore,
Everybody knows that in the gardens
Cats prefer to crunch birds
rather than listening their lovely songs.

There will be soon a civil war.

Oh, dear, what am I to do?
I love cats! ~ But I love birdies, too!

I wish that our feline and avian friends would make love and not war! Hmmm, a curious view just came to mind.

It's a sad reality indeed. I love cats and birds of course ... maybe one day the cats will evolve and live on grass? The important thing is that there is enough to eat for all the species.

Hungry humans who watch the greedy rich no doubt are a risk factor that well might lead to a civil war.

We must learn - and quickly -  to better distribute the resources.

I appreciated your thought provoking poem very much.

Love,
Margherita

Yann, well written,  Linda, I fear this would be the result of cross breeding....

I love birds but I have six cats so I don't feed the birds because I don't want to attract them to a yard full of cats. I enjoy your thought processes, yann.

Hello  Ida,thanks for your nice comment, i always appreciate them... number of cats can grow  easily in  a yard, i'm sure you  take care....When i was fifteen or sixteen we let them mate until we get 32 or 34 cats ...We were outnumbered....It  was  pretty  annoying...

Thank you again  for  your comment

Yes, yann, all of my cats are spade or nurtured. I highly recommend it.

good thoughts here Yann... enjoyed RDB

and thanks for telling me where you live.. you are right, I have not heard of your town, but would imagine it to be very beautiful... I have visited many places in France...you live in a very beautiful country I think... still Australia and New Zealand (where my homeland is) are very beautiful too.!

Happy Easter to you ... love RDB

Be kind at heart....for everyone you meet has their own battle to fight.........
