I abandoned
my family
and later
returned
with gifts
from the city
that had glittered
like an unknown coin
at the bottom
of the pond

a movie camera
for my wife

for my children
balloons
filled
with city air
so that when
they burst,
the sun
was seen
through
factory smoke

my wife
filmed it all
in a movie
she will only play
backwards;
it ends
with the title:
ONCE WE LIVED IN THE COUNTRY

You are good, very good!

Perfect in its reflection of contemporary life.
