When I look into the future
I wonder often where I'll be
knowing with every ending
you are right there next to me

Many fear what lies ahead
and the thought of growing old
yet mine are at all ease
Since I have you to hold

Other people lead the way
for their beloved "better half"
Yet we stand side by side
always making the other laugh

Most relationships are hard
and often filled with lies
With you I see the realness
just by looking in your eyes

Upon the morning of each day
I wake with you next to me
It is another day of peace
from a love that is so deep

When your face puts on a smile
it can take my breath away
your laughter, so infectious
makes life worth every day

We compliment each other
and fit just like a glove
No one can take away
our undenying love

There are no hidden stories
no excuses, no regrets
Our bond can not be broken
Our future forever connects

It is certain there'll be days
much harder than we think
We must take one at a time
and remember not to blink

And as we do get older
and the gray has filled our hair
Don't doubt you are my soul mate
Beside you, I will be there!!!

You are lucky to have such a wonderful soulmate to help you endure the hardships of life. Very nice tribute.

K-K,

I'd think about loosening this up a little.  The thought is there, however, it comes across as a little forced.  Make sure you don't lose meaning just to have end words rhyme.

Thank you for your comments, I actually wrote this on the fly for my husbands B-day.
We still have alot to deal with since the loss of Cory, but soon I will focus on that loss more, and try to improve from there.
