Casa Del Mar

There is a place beside the sea
Where in my heart I long to be
A tiny casa sits alone
With roof of straw and walls of stone

A lovely girl is waiting there
With smiling lips and flowing hair
I see her in my dreams each night
Dancing in the pale moonlight

So dark and lovely, soft and tanned
She waltzes ‘cross the golden sand
And waits beside that casa fair
For a love to dance beside her there

So if one day you find me gone
While days of stress go on and on
You need but look beside the sea
For that is where I’ll surely be

Arm in arm with a lovely girl
As all across the sands we twirl
Dancing there beneath a star
Beside that tiny casa del mar

Stephen,

You are such a romantic.  This is beautiful and when it all gets too much - I hope you find your Casa Del Mar.  With one stipulation, you keep posting your poetry.

You made my heart smile.

Such sweet dreams, very beautifully expressed.
It's nice to find the balance in our every day life with some dreamy "excursion" into a lovely casa del mar.

Love,
Margherita

Thank you all for the comments. I've got the girl, now all I need is that casa del mar. Oklahoma is a long way from the sea. Take care and Have fun. Steve

You've been gone awhile, Steve. It's good to see once again the soft romance that you bring to our table.

Beautiful and ballad like, with a classical, romantic flavor. Every soul needs a Shangri-La to steal away from the stresses of the mundane days.

Steve,

This is not too bad, and it's well written.  What a lucky girl, and lucky guy.
