AROUND THE BEND

I suppose it must be true
When they say, "The well's run dry."
Though the words are still within me
It seems, I've lost the will to try.

The road, my thoughts were traveling
Seems to have come to an end
Or, maybe, I gave up wondering
What lay around the distant bend.
