Father what woes and foes have I misplaced
enriched by your grace how many times have I stumbled?
Here I lay pleading for your blessing upon my quest
I have done all that I can to embark on the richness you have given
I have battled in many wars and have won but this I have lost
He who cast the first stone and I fell victim

But through the pain I have seen and witnessed
there are the good moments that remain in memory
to carrie on I just close my eyes and relive it

When cold in the middle of the night
and tossing and turning you place your hand
upon my shoulders and calm me
Your shadows embrace me to keep me warm
When I'm lost and scared your prescence enlightens me
resting gently in your arms I'am entranced by your love

And what have I done to deserve even a moment like this
A resting place for angels above only to lay
Flowing like pure lava my heart melts
Whisphering in my ear, telling me I have to keep going on
So I wrap myself up in a thousand roses with thorns piercing my heart

I plead my case with my inperfections
I know no one is perfect but I know he is good for me
Enough to make me smile for the rest of my days
Enough to make me laugh when having a bad day
and gentle kisses upon my head when confused or dazed

With one last look into your dark eyes
I wispher my last words of hope
"I know your good for me"

I do not need shine or wealth, just a pen and some paper for my health

Althia, lately I have asked myself "why" and "what have I done to deserve this..."  and I was listening to DR. Charles Stanley by chance last Sunday and his sermon said we have to remember that no one is perfect here on earth and neither will be our lives, but to make the best of what we have making the best choices we can, knowing we always can't control what others do.

Thank you for a thoughtful write.
