Evening Soiree

Smiles are brought
when you talk risqué
and ask would I attend
your private soiree?
With subtle laughter
in pondered seconds
I then answer
I think that I
could do that with you
most certainly yes
that I want to, too

When you whisper softly
in my ear
I'm left with shivers
at the mere
glance of steel
from eyes so keen
deep into pools
of emerald green

And when I ask
what should I wear?
Your only answer
is that stare

daring me
wear black on pale
covered lightly
with lacey veils
so we can walk
along the quay
then after we've supped
on spread of buffet

and we've had our fill
of a most delicious feast
desert awaits
to be our final treat.
