She’s black all over
With thumbs on paws
Her name is Midnight
And she has no claws

She’s on full alert
She’s a birds fateful foe
Forsaking all others
‘cept the mouse that she choose

Creeping through the forest
Of my very own back-yard
She’s ever so delightful
She’s always on guard

She looked like a rat
Meowing like insane
She was wet and muddy
So I got her out of the rain

Oh and when she talks
We all know to listen
Because she’s the boss
Yes, she’s the missus’

So what was that thing
All black and soaking wet
A kitty cat to my surprise
that never was a pet

We do what she wants
She runs the show
To her we just hop
For she has us on the go

She’s want real food
Won’t eat from a can
She wants fresh water
Now - hurry up man

She eats at the table
Sitting on her kitty mat
Please pass the butter
And don’t worry about the fat

She pawing the table
Sipping out of your bowl
Make sure not you don’t forget
To hand her a roll

Since when is cat
Not a cat that you see
She’s more like my friend
That’s Midnight and me

I have a rescued cat named Soleil. She is very smart and learned to use the toilet all by herself. The only problem is when I really need to go and make a mad dash for the bathroom she runs ahead and jumps on the toilet, Just to show me who's boss, I guess. Enjoyed your story about your little foundling. She sounds delightful.
