Music: Sky 7 by Mychael Danna
From the album entitled: Celtic Twilight

Celtic Lovers
by Linda L. Dowd

On a mystic isle, amid an emerald sea,
Celtic lovers sealed souls with flesh.
So close were they, that they shared one heart,
And together they shared each breath.

Beneath pale rays of the pagan moon,
On a bed of laurel and flowers,
A powerful union was blessed by the gods,
In the woods by Duanan towers.

As seed was planted in fertile womb,
Willows swayed in the soughing, spring breeze.
All forces of flora, gods, fauna, and Man,
Were absorbed and recorded in trees.

Thru’ out the ages, upon entering those woods,
When the moon was luminous and high,
If one stood still, by Duanan hill,
One could hear their lovers’ sigh.

On a mystic isle, amid an emerald sea,
Celtic lovers sealed souls with flesh.
So close were they, that they shared one heart,
And together they shared each breath.

~

Love is the unifying force which integrates
one’s soul with that of another.

Breathtakingly beautiful, Linda!  It's hard to beat the romance and passion in this!  A keeper this is... How many does that make now, I wonder!  Have a good day, EA!

Beautiful, Linda. As you know, I have a weakness for all things Celtic.

fine romanticism...

I am especially fond of:

"Thru’ out the ages, upon entering those woods,
When the moon was luminous and high,
If one stood still, by Duanan hill,
One could hear their lovers’ sigh."

(and the Celtic setting of course!)

applause!!

Linda,

This is very romantic.  Such antics are not the exclusive domain of the Celts.

Well i think you are wasted Linda? I think i would love to hear a full CD of your relaxing poems and music together? Maybe even and animated DVD? Your voice is soothing and the poem was romantically beautiful...as somone who is from celtic heritage myself i can associate myself with this and dream of being the man in the ''lead'' role here..LOL..you give us the chance to dream and see such imagery Linda..thank you..

Peace be with you..

And may God bless you for your loving talents..

Love this, Linda.  I do believe that what you say is possible but most don't think it is and so it is not.

I especially adore the above thought; when we hug a tree we can actually hear him talk. And when the records speak of such magical love bonds the listening will be memorable.

Absolutely charming and beautiful, dear Linda, Angelo Terrestre! Hi!

Love and hugs.

Hi, Honey! I for one, know it to be true. I have deeply loved ~ and been loved ~ by two fabulous men (not at the same time! lol) Those relationships lasted for many years each and I will carry the warm memories with me for always. At the height of those relationships, we did share one heart and each breath.

Love to you, my S.A. friend!
